PROJECT: ECOLE MIXTE UNION DES JEUNES

A small school founded in 2012 by Mr St-Cyr Modin, in the remote location of Jabouin (Haiti).  This was the first school built for the children of Jabouin and surroundings. Only 4 years later, it was destroyed by Hurrican Matthew, in October 2016.

Today, 95 students are going to school and learning under an unstable and wavy tent.
These wonderful kids deserve a classroom, help us re-build their school!

STATIONERY

The school will be re-stocked with benches, desks, text books and stationary.  Teachers will receive training and adequate teaching material.

INFRASTRUCTURE

We will build 5 classrooms for the 95 students. The new roof will be made from reinforced concrete so it can withstand severe weather and earthquakes.

SANITATION

The project will construct sanitation facilities. Awareness of hygiene and sanitation will increase and drop out rate, especially among girls will come down.
