Transform the lives of the world's most vulnerable children
Friends of Cité Soleil (FOC-S) is a private non-profit organization founded in 1991 helping victims of extreme poverty by giving young girls and boys a healthy start and the opportunity to learn and succeed in a warm and safe environment.
FOC-S was founded by the daughter of Dc Carlo Boulos : “a short, cheerful, story telling man and a giant in the world Medicine” - as described by the Washington Post – who truly made a difference for the people of Haiti. Following the steps of their farther, FOC-S was created and continues to help the communities in needs, especially in Cité Soleil (Port-au-Prince), one of the Western Hemisphere’s biggest and poorest slums.
Today, Friends of Cité Soleil impacts more than 2000 children providing free education and food. We operate mainly in Cité Soleil, and are quickly expanding our efforts and actions to other communities in need.
